so my engine backfires and when i hit it with the timing light the timing mark dont show up but when i turn it by hand it lines up perfectly...strange? so i decided its the timing chain and i got on ebay and found a billet SA double timing chain...well ill shouw you. its the most expensive on on ebay

yea i check the distributor and yea sometimes it retards it and wont start
I would look at summit racing equip. Are you sure it's your timing chain though? I would look at the ignition system and distributor if you haven't yet.
