why would my torque converter dump all of its fluid into the tranny?
i was driving down the highway in by 91 s-10 blazer when it decided to blow about a quart of trany fluid out the dipstick tube when we dropped the tranny the torque converter was empty and the tranny was way overfull which it was not over full when i left any ideas why it would do that
the torque converter rattles when you shake it and yes the fluid was burnt the cooler was new
If the transmission pump intake path has a leak allowing the pump to draw air instead of fluid from the pan this can happen but it is not either common or likely.
