Okay, so I purchased a Ryan aerator with a 3.5 hp Briggs and Stratton motor on it. And it worked fine first start up and ran for about 10 mins just fine. Then, it shut off. I can start it fine with the choke on, but when I go to set the choke to the run position the machine dies out immediately. It can even run half ass with the choke on, but will die out after 10-15 seconds of work. It can sit there and idle with the choke on, but shortly after the work starts or directly after the choke is off (set to run) it will die. Thanks for the help!
If it is still under warranty, take it back to where you got it from. Check that the air cleaner element is clean before you take it back. If it is not under warranty,and has an adjustable carburetor, turn the mixture screw out about a quarter turn and try it. If it still doesn't work, turn the screw out another quarter turn and try again. If that doesn't work the carburetor will have to be taken apart and cleaned, there is dirt in it.
