I recently installed a small block 350 engine, th350 transmission on my 69 camaro and was planning on changing my factory 10 bolt rear end to a 12 bolt 411 gears rear end. I'm getting the rear end for free from a family member. Just wanted to ask if the combination will work proper and is there going to be any complications while my car is running?
Britney has it right, i have owned both styles of rears, and with upgraded axles they will both pop about the same time. I've gone through quite a few rings, axles, and even twisted the housings from the tubes a few times. Have the tubes fully welded into the housings on either rear. I would go for the 4:11s. Who needs gas mileage in a 69 Camaro, it's missing the point a bit.
