timing cover removal 98 chevy cavalier 2.2?
Looking for step by step on this. This is what I know. remove splash shield passenger side, loosen idler tensioner and let hang, remove crank shaft pulley, use steering wheel puller to remove hub from crank shaft, remove 2 10mm bolts from oil pan, 7 8mm bolts from cover. I know that. WHat I don't know is if I can wiggle the cover out from under the power steering unit/bracket or do I have to remove that? Also, do I have to set the timing? If so, how and how specifically? While this may be a stupid question, it never hurts to ask.
replacing tensioner....specifically need to set the marks before removal of tensioner, chain and sprocket....need step by step on that procedure only

I'll make it easy. Buy a Haynes repair manual for $25 dollars. General motors cheverolet cavalier & pontiac sunfire. Covers 1995 thru 2004 all models. That way you can have it in hand as your working to refer to.
