vacuum modulator adjustment?
can someone please confirm this. I installed new vacuum modulator on my grand am v6 3.1. Modulator can be adjusted, so I adjusted it to have firmer shifts. What I notice now is that my car is coasting much easier when gas pedal is released. Before this I was convinced that I had dragging brakes. So my question is "if I have firmer shifts trans is shifting later but is also downshifting later or what? Thank you in advance
i know exactly what your saying!. just turn the screw a little at a time( keep track of the turns and the way your turning the screw), until you get the shifting pattern you want, just turn the screw about 1/2 turn at a time. if its worse, turn it back to where it was, then turn it the other way.
