What is the stock turbo on a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI?
Is it a ball bearing turbo? or is it an older style of the turbo? Also what kinda horsepower and boost level does it run? Is it possible to get more out of it with turbo timers, or to remove some of the turbo lag? Also is it possible to dual turbo this car?
i agree, turbo timers don't do jack. the wrx/sti doesn't need a turbo timer thanks to the circulation of "coolant" even after the engine is turned off. but....don't beat the car then turn it off, not good for any car. as for the boost, i don't know if it's still the vf39 and i think they run 16lbs. from what i heard the lag isn't bad at all. a uppipe will get rid of alot as well as header. if your interested in buying the car be prepared to learn how to drive all over again. (with awd you can't do alot of things your used to). the hp and tq rating have changed with the new sae rating system so thats why the numbers are changing.
