Try and be happy at Christmas
if only for once in a year.
Leave all of those troubles behind you,
practice smiling and giving some cheer.
The muscles that haven't worked lately,
now gather them into a grin.
Then people who notice the difference,
will ask you "just where have you been?"
Make a really assertive big effort
to get along with the person next door.
With your workmates and neighbours...
........and enemies.
Because it's Christmas' Unwritten Law
Repay the debts you've been hiding,
