On my pickup i had 3 in. pipes put on from the cats back as a true dual system. Got it done fairly cheap. Am pretty happy with it but am wondering if maybe i should kept the stock 2 1/2 in from cats back and then have my 5 in by 2 ft tips put on after that. Now what about a cross pipe connecting the two sides to balance out pressure. Want to have the best hp but yet mpg for the most part. I do realize i can't have both but can try. Don't really want to redo exhaust but am considering then might put on shorty headers if i redo. Any input appreciated.
Does anyone know which setup would produce the most efficient hp. I know you want backpressure but which one would create the scavenging effect better.
regardles what you do headers 2.5" 3." to keep the pressure and temp. the same you need a cross over pipe it will save you headaces in the end.ie. uneven head temps can leed to blown head gaskets or craked heads some times sound is'nt the best
