I would wait until you actually have the keys in your hand. I would also go with the hardtop as the vert is a couple hundred pounds heavier and the GT500 is rather portly to begin with. I wouldn't change the any exterior features. I would swap out the stock supercharger for an uprated Kenne Bell unit. I would also invest in some wider wheels/tires, as the stock sized tires don't provide near enough traction off the line.
Who cars about what the car looks like, The GT500 already has good looks. Under the hood is what matters. I have to chuckle at the people who will spend thousands of dollars on body kits and custom paint. Only to have a bone stock motor under the hood.
