94 lebaron lots of noise. sounds like exhaust dragging. jacked up rear. pass side feels like bad bearings. how do i check the front wheel bearings. can it be done without tearing every thing apart. when i raised it i didnt notice play in the wheel. any noise i hear sounds like disc brakes on rotar is there a way to check front bearings. also it felt like the rear tire locked up. hard to tell where the noise is coming from.
To start with replace the rear wheel bearings on both sides. Then test drive and listen and feel to see if there is still a problem. The front wheel bearings on a car like yours are a unitized hub type - not adjustable like the rear ones. The only way to check for excessive wear that I know of is to raise the front of the vehicle with the tires on and grab onto each tire and try to jerk it left to right and in and out and see if there is any looseness. It looks like you've tried this already by your post. If you have any doubts about the rear wheel bearings just change them - it's cheap and easy. Then see if your noise persists.
