Can a blown or cracked gasket/head restrict fuel flow?
The floats in my carburetor are getting stuck due to raw fuel dumping into the carb. It started after i replaced the the head gasket. So i first tried to repair it nothing so i replaced the entire carb. Which didn't fix the fuel dumping
There was a problem with MTBE drowning composition floats- they'd stop floating and flood the engine. A bad head gasket wouldn't necessarily give your symptom. Replace the float and use good quality gas. Put the float in a bottle of gasoline and if it doesn't float, it is soaked. A new carburetor getting the same problem makes me suspect the fuel.
