I need a carburetor for performance and gas mileage.?
What would be a good carb that will do that. Im running a 750 speed demon right now and im averaging 12 to 15 mpg with a 700R4 and 3.36 gears.
Well i have to say you are already ahead of me. I am currently only getting about 8 mpg on my toy 
But the simplest thing to do would be to switch to a 600 cfm carb. I am doing the same on mine although I am only hoping to make it to 12 mpg but you might actually make it to a steady 15mpg or higher. The trick is to stay out of the secondaries and not get on the throttle to much. If you can maintain a steady cruising speed you should be fine and probably get a nice increase in mpgs depending on driving habits with a 600 cfm 4 barrel like a Holley or Edelbrock. That speed demon you are using now really wasn't set up to be super nice on mileage so really even a 650 cfm would be an improvement over that but I would try to stay with one of those two for best results. If cost is a concern there are several companies that sell remanufactured Holley and Edelbrock carbs out there for reasonable costs and they all look like new. Here is the one I ordered mine through.
