Why can't we get this mini-van here in the USA?

It gets 43.4mpg / 38.1mpg.
I would say a LOT better than the c*** sold here in the USA which the only thing getting this good of gas is the geo metros.
I should have put FUEL instead of "Gas" in my question...although this van DOES come in petrol also...the link shows a "diesel" vehicle.

Europe has BETTER standards than the US currently does! So I know that is not it. They have had this vehicle around since the early 1990s...why haven't they introduced it here?
CT...The problem with the facts that you gave is that they are HYBRIDS (which by the way are dangerous because if you get into an accident they need to GROUND you before you get aid) and the fact that they are SMALL.

automakers. This vehicle is produced by Ford!!!!!! I'm not a journalist but why haven't they wrote or reported on these vehicles. There is another one called the air car( yep ) the Air Car.. and yes it runs on air now being sold ...
