What is the U.S. Army's standard weapon kit/layout?
What machine gun and secondary handgun do most soldiers use. Does everyone have the same kit or can anyone choose. Or is it the more higher rank you are then you have different weapons. I want to know the system. Also I want to know what guns the Special Forces (Green Berrey) use most of the time or is there a sytem for that too. Thanks.
1. Im only 15.
2. I have never owned any call of duty in my life.
3. I spelled green beret wrong because i barely know about them and i only heard them through a military program. They say the name as if it were with a y.
4. Stop being FUK1N jerks and just answer my damn question.
5. I thought it was by rank because my friends who play cod always takk about it.
The current platform for US Soldiers is the M4 SOPMOD kit, although you be issued an M16. The problem with the M4 is it shoots smaller bullets than the AK47, although if you put in a different lower reciever you would be able to use AK caliber bullets. (I believe it is 30 something?) The secondary hand gun is an M9. The ranking system isn't like CoD. You can requisition new equipment at any time, but depending on what rank you are you might have priority over lower rank. Special Forces (Green BerreTs, not with a y) use the same as general army. The difference is they basically can have whatever they want, since they are so specialized. Most soldiers use M4's or M16's, but snipers use M24s (now phasing in Barret M107 .50 cals in Iraq.) support weapons for Special Forces are the M249, and "The Big Gun" the M240.
