I think they would "flip-flop" rather than do away with their precious nitrous!
For people that normally have a lot to say, they must be grumbling silently over this question.
That stuff is just for shows and parties. No one does that stuff all the time. But yeah, they'd be into it--they even skip meat because they think it's good for the environment--while I think that if meat won't be available forever, it is my duty to enjoy steak while it is still around so I can tell the grandkids about the good ol' days while they say 'eww, gross'.
