Im looking into getting a suby,i wanted to know everything and anything i can find out about it. good and bad.?
I really want to know what ppl really think about subarus. imma get a 04 wrx 86,000 miles its my first car with awd. i mostly had hondas such as 99 integra also a rsx dc5 they were fun cars, but im looking for something a little better, somehting with more power and something for canyons and i wanted to know what will i have to take care of MOSTLY on the suby, i want it 2 last me. again i know nothing about subarus im just walking into it. plz give me any advice u can give me such as what would be good oil? oil filter? tires? spark plugs?air intake? Downpipe? Turbo? Strut bars? also whats the cost of all this? Do i need to tune?Headers? also how much is what. any and everything also upgardes if theres time. thank you and i hope ppl out there That really know about subarus can help me. thank you.
As far as what you can do the the car goes, http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/index.php? is a great place for information. Read all the stikies and FAQs. The good of the car is the performance out of the box. It's a very capable car for not a lot of money and can keep up or surpass cars that cost way more. With proper tuning, the horsepower gains are also very impressive with basic bolt on parts. Unfortunately, that is also the bad. Kids out there want to get into a dick measuring contest with you on public streets and it gets annoying. Insurance is also something you may want to look into before you commit to a car. They can be very expensive to insure depending on where you live and what year you are thinking about. Really for the price it's fast, comfortable, reliable and very safe so it's a great car.
