Chevy GM HEI Distributor Questions. Advance Curve Kits?
Hi, I just got a Distributor in a trade from someone, he said it was new, it looks pretty new, you can def see a polish in the aluminum and the shaft looks perfect, I was wondering if there was a sure way to tell if its good, new, or works before I use it. Also I seen on Ebay for $8 a curve kit with little springs and weights, what do these do and can I use them? what do the different springs do?
the curve kit brings in the advance faster or slower depending on the springs you use..you could take the module from under the cap,and take to auto zone and have them test it to see if ok,the pick up coil on the shaft know way to tell unless you fire it up .1st.and you can use them if you want usually use these on modified engines,stock engine wont see much of improvement.
