And when people say that, i don't understand what they're saying.. does it mean to use the same engine block with different pistons camshaft, etc? or take out the engine and clean it up and polish it?
The honda civic si year 2000, currently have a b16 engine w/ a 5 speed manual transmission, and is working fine.
I'm not someone that knows much about car, but i really need a car that can support high revs.
Also, i realise the B18 engine is from a JDM acura, if i happen to swap to a B18 engine, do you think i have to do some tweaking in order to past the state emission test?
Do your research. LOTS OF IT. Join a Honda Tech forum. Ask questions, and you'll get answers.
Do a basic compression test and keep up on general maintenance.
But most importantly dont ever jump into something like a motor without knowing fully about what your going to be doing and what to expect.
I personally do not recommend modding a Daily Driver (DD) but its your choice really.
