Stephen Hawkins - Human extinction?
Stephen Hawkins has made a statement that the human race would probably not last another 1,000yrs?
''Too much can go wrong'' ''The odds are heavily stacked against us'' ''A thousand years is a best case scenario''
What do you make of these statements? I can understand his fears, the worlds population is at breaking point. Mankind (glorified chimps,) have stockpiles of nuclear weapons at their disposal. The greenhouse effect is real and being ignored.
Who knows what lumps of rock are heading our way - we are way over due an impact!
Will the next airborne virus be one too many??? How long until a global one hits us?
Will a super volcanic eruption block the sunlight out and starve us all?
Will the seasons destroy our food crops?
Everything ends.... How long before mankind joins the dinosaurs? What will be the next dominant species on a dirtball once called Earth...?
Answers / opinions please......

The man has done enough to deserve getting his name spelled right.
While our civilization as it currently stands is unsustainable, and is
unlikely to last another millenium, I'm more sanguine about our species.
We are pretty adaptable.
As to our eventual replacement: A new species of ant has recently appeared,
that co-operates, or at least doesn't 'war' between colonies.
A world wide 'colony organism' is something evolution might well favor.
