205cc Briggs & Stratton Utility Engine For Go Kart Use: How To?!?
I have a Yerf Dog go kart with a Howhit GY6 engine. The engine has too many compression problems and I'm thinking of using a 9HP Briggs & Stratton 900 Intek Series engine, 205cc, with a Horizontal Shaft build. Would it be ideal to mount the engine to the frame, install a centrifugal clutch to the shaft connecting it to the chain, then route the go karts gas pedal to the engines throttle? Any help asap is appreciated! Thanks!
If you can get it all hooked up it should be fine.
The motor you want to use has plenty of power for the Yerf Dog.
