Mistubishi lancer ralliart vs mitsubishi lancer evo.?
I was wondering man things.
The first question, I was wondering why the old ralliar had a 2.4L and the new ralliart has a 2.0L doesnt it have more potential with the 2.4L???
Also whats the difference between the evo and the ralliart performance wise and why i was looking at the tech spechs and they both look almost the same exept for rpms and things like that.
And if i got a ralliart and bought a good performance kit would i be able to make it faster than the evo. and if so what kit should i buy .
Thanks
The old ralliarts have the mivec 2.4l dohc 4g69 engines producing 162 bhp. Because thats how they were manufactured back then. Now, for the new based line models. The 09+ Ralliart makes the Lancers into Turbocharged AWD. The 2.4L does have more potiential in getting more power though, but the older Ralliarts aren't turbocharged and they are only FWD not AWD.
The 09+ Ralliarts are just and more likely like a de-tuned version of the Evo X but with the Evo IX(9) AWD system(according to evom). And yes with some little mods or just a simple reflash can get you as fast or even more than the Evo X. They also look like the regular Lancer GTS but with a bigger front bumper(thats looks like a complete lip) and dual exhaust rear bumper. They do not look or have the widebody like the Evo X do and has the same hood as the evo x.
There is just one flaw that some tuners are sadden about. The 09+ Ralliart only comes in Semi-"AUTO" TC-SST. Accordingly, EvoM Forums stated that max power it can handle is up to 330whp before it starts fail. The TC-SST has paddle shifters behind the steering wheel and shifts like a manual but clutchless. Makes it easier for people who don't know how to drive stick but feel like they drive a manual car. It has a mode to drive exactly like an automatic by just pressing the gas and has a sports mode to use the shifters or the shift knob. But the only good thing I like about the TC-SST is that it shifts faster than humans can do. Also, they can't boost like manual stick shifts can do. But they do have a traction control, but its not good enough. Maybe for daily driving though.
