Is there a way to mount a v-twin motorcycle engine sideways?
I'm in the process of building a bobber, and I want to mount my Torkster 1250 so that the pistons are side-to-side, not front-to-back. Is there any way to do this? I have basic machining skills, but I would feel most comfortable with a kit of some sort... Is there a better engine around that size that would lend itself to this?

Although it's not a Vtwin, BMW has been doing it for 50 years. Moto Guzzi for 40 and Honda for 30. There are also some reverse trikes out there that use them.
