i,m a 49 yr old male , for the last 3 weeks i've been getting lite headed?
when i stand from setting or change direction. my blood pressure is 140/70 ,cholesterol 265, hdl40, ldl130 .i lift weights 3 times a week, my weight 200 lbs. ,6'2" i get 6 - 7 hr. sleep per night.i drink plenty of water, [not always 8 glasses]
Your BP and lab results don't seem related to your being light headed. It's fairly common to have those symptoms and it may be as simple as a little sinus problem, allergies possibly.
Your lab results are another thing. Cut way back on salt and drink more water to try and get your BP down a little.
Look at your diet and get your lipids a little more under control.
You need to bring your cholesterol down to less than 200 and your HDL up to 60. In addition to weight lifting do some jogging or walking. That will help your HDL. Cut back on the saturated fats in your diet to no more than 8 oz. of red meat and 2 eggs a week. You are at an age where you really need to watch those and you want to avoid drugs if possible.
Good luck!
