High flow catalic converter question?
I own a 2002 jaguar x type 3.0L AWD and am looking to put in a high flow cat.
This is where the problem comes in...
There is one cat on each side of the engine with the inlet coming directly off the manifold but the outlet of the cat is at a right angle so there is not enough room to install a high flow cat in the original location.
Would there be any difference if i were to run a pipe off each side of the manifold under the car then install a single high flow cat, as there is more room, with one oxygen sensor on the inlet side and one on the outlet side?
Would i be better to cut the flanges off the high flow cat and fabricate the cat to fit in the original location?
are there any pro's / con's to running 1 cat vs 2 cats?

there are 2 cats in it now and i am looking to go to 1 cat to make instalation easer
it dont matter were the cats are installed. the further they are from the engine the cooler they get. why do u want two cats, it will cost more for the cats, then what about the o2 sensors. i would leave one on there since it already has one. but to minimize the work shorten the flanges on the cats.
