You will need to give the initial velocity of the car, otherwise this problem cannot be solved.
Even if given the original velocity, this would not be a simple d= r x t problem as this would involve an acceleration period and would be calculated using this equation:
(V + 10.7)^2 = V^2 + 2ad
Where a is the acceleration, and d is the distance
If you assumed instantaneous acceleration (which is impossible) a = (V - Vo)/ t, where t is zero.
