The engine light on my 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lardeo has come on a few times. I have made repairs in between each time the light has come on. The codes are P0351 (ignition coil) and P0420 (catalytic converter).
In the past 6 months I have replaced the distributor, spark plugs, rotor, oil pan gasket, oil filter adapter, o2 sensors, crank sensor, catalytic converter (twice, most recent time was through a Jeep dealer), fuel filter, ignition pick up coil inside distributor, ignition coil and also had a top end valve job done.
What else could it be? The car seems to be running really good except it cuts off every once in awhile. I'm running out of reasons why this is happening. Hope someone can help.
my car kept doing that, it kept showing 02 sensor, so i bet i put at least 3 or 4 of them on and the code kept coming up and it turned out to be the computer. mine kept stalling at red lights.
