Cant afford painted racing stripes, should i go with decal stripes?
I went to a custom painter for cars and they said that it would cost around 800 dollars to get 2 racing stripes painted on my 1996 ford mustang.
i dont really have that much money to get them painted on, so i was thinking that the racing stripe stickers were my only other option if i wanted them.
But my uncle told me that he used stickers on his car before but they fell off pretty quickly, so what do you think?
should i buy a racing stripe sticker kit or is it just a waste of time and money?
p.s. ive got mustang bumper decals on the back and those have stayed on great for a while now
quality vinyl will last you up to several years. I apply vinyl to semis frequently and it lasts for years. They see many more miles and worse conditions than your car probably ever will. Just make sure to apply them correctly, dont allow air bubbles. If you are not completely sure in your ability, have a professional do it. It is a low cost option, and the nice thing about vinyl is you can take if off if you dont like it, for resale, or if you want a different look, without spending the money on repainting.
