will doing jumping jacks and other cardio + small weight work benefit me?
in the grand scheme, i plan on losing about 100 lbs which will land me at 120. i am 5'11
i was wondering if in the beginning, paired with good diet, if i can get away with my excercise consisting of LOTS of walking, dance cardio, and two or four lbs work on my arms.
i want to get lean, not gain too much muscle - i'm really flabby right now so the squats and lunges are hard to do but i plan on starting those when my shape is more healthy.
will this work? please any tips!
The cardio stuff is always good and walking is gonna get you lean. But if your over 200 now you really want to balance the muscle tone with the weight lost to avoid flabby skin you know that extra stuff. Sounds like your off to a good start. The walking as simple as it sounds really helps. Be careful with the diet stuff some times it's better to just avoid sodas and sugar stuff than not eating at all. You need all the food groups. Moderation is the key. Talk to your family doctor about any other tips b/c every bodies body is different. What I can do without in a diet your body may need! Good luck!
