Procharger Supercharger Package

Procharger Supercharger Package
i got 10 thousand and and 383?

I got a 383 stoker block and 10 thousand dollers and a 1994 z28 camaro i was wondering wat is the best way to make a drag strip car with ten grand should i buy a turn key crate motor or buy a top end performance package and a procharger or superchrger with it. Or maybe just buy everything separate like pistons and cam and everything. i am trying to get the most power i can with 10 grand but dont forget i have to have extra money left over for the roll cage and getting the motor done at a machine and get the trany rebuilt. but i need to know wat is the best way to go with this motor. so should i buy a new turn key crate motor or use the 383 stoker block i have and buy a top end package with a procharger/supercharger. i need to know how to get the most power out of 10 g

I have a 87 trans-am that I run low tens with but I run the 431 stroker. If I was you I would start with buying a ford 9 inch rear end. Moser makes a bolt in unit just for the f-body. The ten bolt will not withstand repeated launches at the track. Next get a good transmission, TCI makes a good turbo 350 that would work fine. As for the motor start by getting yourself a scat rotating assembly. Make sure you get the forged pistons and rods with good bolts the crank is a forged steel unit and will last a long time. As for the top end Brodix and Dart makes a topend kit with heads and intake. Stick with the smaller intake runners I think they are 210cc. As for the cam get a comp cam part#12-609-5 this is a kick azz cam for the 383 it will work well with a 2500 converter be sure to use roller rockers with this cam. Make sure to get a 750cfm carb Holley or demon both will work well. Keep the compression ratio around 10:1 just in case later on you need more speed a 150 shot of nitrous will be just the ticket. This motor combination I gave you is one that I built for a friend, he put it in his 82 z-28. It runs mid elevens and is still street legal. Last but not least get rid of all the weight inside the car you can. A good set of 28 inch rear slicks and 4.33 gears you should be shifting at 6800 out the big end of the track. Good luck.
