Replacing One Fork For Another,Work?
Hi,
I'm going to replace my bike suspension fork to a rigid fork.(Not me,another person will do the work)I just need to know if the rigid fork specs are ok for a replacement fit in my bike.What say you? Thanks!

The new fork will fit onto the bike...both the old and new are 1-1/8" threadless and the steerer tube on the new fork is longer than that on the old fork. Your bike shop will cut down the steerer tube on the new fork, if necessary, to get everything to fit up.
Before you commit, do some checking on the old fork setup to understand its rake and typical distance from the top of the fork's crown to the axle. These measurements will give you some idea how the bike will "sit" with the new fork on. As long as the new fork is close to the old, no big deal. If it's way different, though, you will likely notice differences in handling. This is not a reason not to make the swap; it's just to be aware so you're not surprised.
