I was at a snowboarding competition yesterday and I fell racing another girl. I landed on my back and instantly my legs went numb and i couldn't move them. Ski patrol did the usual neck brace and made it so i couldn't move then they ambulanced me to a hospital. I'm only 18 and have a decent tolerance for pain but i dont think i can handle much more of this. I have 2 compression fractures in my back and 1 in my pelvis. They gave me crutches to walk in but that also hurts really bad. I'm on pain medicine but it doesn't help very well. Any suggestions in dealing with the pain?
they prescribed me tylonel 3's and before i left the ER they gave me a shot of morphine but that was yesterday... i cant take the vicodin which is what they wanted to percrive me because im allergic... I don't thin the tylonel 3's are enough though because im still in so much pain
You will not be able to rid all of your pain. What did the hospital ER physician prescribe to you for pain? There are different classes of pain medication. What works for me, may not work for you. Let me know what he prescribed.
