Repair Coupling Buick

Repair Coupling Buick
Should I look for another car or invest in the transmission work?

I'm currently a senior at a highschool, and I have my second car which is a 97' buick skylark.
The car runs great but a couple months ago, the motor mounds cracked and I ignored the slight jerking for a couple weeks and took it to a shop to get it replaced. Now the jerking isn't as bad, but its still there. I took it to the place I bought the car from since they look at my car for free (they replaced my motor mounts for 1/4 of the price at a regular shop) but couldn't find the problem and guessed it to be transmission issues. Well, I took it to a transmission place and the time frame the motor mounts broke - I burnt out some parts INSIDE the transmission. Taking it apart from the car itself costs $350 dollars without any repair. The guy estimated the repair to be 500-600 dollars but he can't be sure unless he opens it up. He says the car is working fine other then the transmission so is it worth investing money in this car or looking for another used or newer one?

i recommend you fix the buick. buicks are like oldsmobiles. they are really good cars and besides if you buy something else you don,t know what your buying. the next car might be worse. try this. change the transmission fluid and filter and see if that helps.
