Is there an easier way to break a motorcycle chain?
I got a new chain for my dirt-bike, I did have to change its size by removing links. but i did this with a dremal tool, it took a very long time to file through the rivets. I made a key chain out of the extra links, and i have had alot of people ask me for one. So I got the idea of cutting up my old chain and selling them as keychains. The only problem is that I dont want to buy a chain breaker and I dont want to file at it for 4 hours. if anybody knows any little trick to bust a chain apart, help please. I might even mail you a keychain for it.
You will have to spend about$40.00 or so for a cheap bench grinder. I use one to remove links from #45 and #50 chains when I have to replace one. I buy chain in bulk because we use so much of it.
