CPU temp is around 70 Celsius--too hot. CPU fan is running at around 5000 RPM--too loud. I have a Sonata II case--believe it or not. My chip is a Pentium 4 HT 3GHz. My main goal is a silent computer. Any help would be appreciated.
Get a newer fan- There may be dust in your fan causing friction as it spins, getting a new fan might stop this.
Get a bigger fan- The bigger the fan, the less rotations it will need to make to keep a cooler temp
Water cooling- The silent and affordable way of making your computer even cooler, probably even the best method for the intermediate user
You might also want a new case, that case of yours maybe stealth but has no vents or ways of air escaping apart from the back panel.
