Would a Dirty Carb Cause one bank to run cold?
600cfm 1405 edelbrock carb on sbc with vortec heads. the left bank 1,3,5,7 after running for 30-40 secs the header is too hot to touch, while the 2,4,6,8 bank the header is warm but can still put hand on it without burning it!, car sat for 2 years, drained fuel out of tank, replaced with new and added some methyl hydrate to dissapate any moisture, took off fuel filter and had alot of crap in it, cleaned and same symptoms, car will not idle and stumbles. the engine has not been run with the vortec heads but came off a running engine in good shape.
if anything a dirty carb would lean the motor out causing it to run hotter
