My crankshaft pullet is misaligned (it's sticking out), and my serpentine belt keeps getting shredded. Fix?
I just bought the car from an auction "as-is". I noticed my camshaft pulley is sticking out a little bit, about a 1/3 of an inch so the serpentine belt gets shredded and becomes thin. So how do I push the pulley in a little more? I noticed a nut in the middle of the thing, so do I just tighten it some more. Here's a link to where the picture of it is post'd, noticed it's sticking out. Please help.

If the crank pulley is sticking out that far, it's either the wrong pulley or it's installed incorrectly. Pull it and take a look.
