steel sleeving a block?
i have a block that was steel sleeved, after assembly and starting i got water in oil and cumbustion. i took it apart and the number one sleeve is about a 1/16 down in the cylinder. would this be enough to not let the head seal and if so how do i fix it. The block is an aluminum vega block with 12 to 1 compression
Get a new block. That block should not have allowed the sleeve to slip down like it did. When the sleeving is done properly it will not slip for it cannot move at all.
