I'm going to make a racing go kart with my brother and were going to convert it to be road legal. Our plan is to custom add a 600cc ninja motor and trans. onto it around forsince I've had them lying ever. Really want to know though if it will be okay to drive on the roads going 55mph on those small tires and if it'll ruin the wheel bearings quickly (heat) by going that fast for so long? Also a dumb question but since were definitely still in the planning process, any way to add shocks to the kart? Since I see all the actual racing go-karts just have a solid axle on front and back, and the roads we ride on might be a bit rough. Thanks!
Use lithium grease it should do the trick , take a page from grampa's tractor and put the seat on springs , that way you can use common suspension parts and get a smoother ride , will you need an emissions check ? This sounds very cool but check the law on this stuff , it would be a drag to dump $$$ and time into something that will never be legal , have fun .
