So the 10 bolt on my 91 K1500 went out and the only decent rear end I could find was a 14 bolt from a 96 2wd. Everything worked out great except that this rear end is a couple inches narrower and now my tires rub the leaf springs and can't turn, much less flex. And since I don't have money for a new set of rims with backspacing, does anyone know where I can get a pair of 2"-3" adaptors for a good price and fast? Or maybe even another idea?
I'm using 6 lug 5.5"
I have a 2000 GMC Sierra Z71 and I got spacers in the front which cost me $20 for the pair but only give me about ½ inch gap. I needed them cause the M/T Classic II I put in it would hit the caliper but the spacer helped. Go to any local tire dealer and ask for them. Just to let you know, the original rims from 99-2006 Chevy's have more backspace then the 88-98 original rims...get you a set of these rims and itll look better and help too.
