civic EK 3 door hatch 1.5 ls vtec. (D series engine)
i have got a stainless steel catback already, (not installed) , the front joint is three bolts, but my downpipe is two bolts?
so im thinking of getting a decat pipe with a 2-3 joint system, i just want to know where exactly does the decat fit on? is it after the downpipe of the manifold? if it is, can i then fit the cat back system on? if i did fit a decat on, wont the whole exhaust system increase in length? how does it work? i dont understand. Please help!
your exhuast goes like this starting from the engine. you have your header thats runs into a downpipe that runs into your catalytic converter from there its your cat back exhaust hence the name cat back its everything from the catalytic converter back what i think your refering to is aby decat is either a high flow cat or test pipe which takes the place of a cat but is a straight throw pipe and is illegal in any state with smog regulations. honestly it sounds like you need a friend to help you or an exhuast shop.
