Headers 4-1 or 4-2-1?
I have CAI on my 1990 Honda Accord 5 speed manual. I was told by a shop that they would do a 4-1 headers straight pipe back to a catback exhaust for 150$. I KNOW IT ISNT A RACE CAR! I just want a little umph in my ride, but would I be better off just buying ceramic coated stainless steel headers from ebay and a catback exhaust and just boltin it on myself? Also, is 4-1 with no catalitic converter better than 4-2-1 with a catalic converter?
E-bay headers are mostly crap. But they are cheap. Unles the shop is not taking payment unless you are satisfied I would get an aftermarket one. Some idiot with a TIG is not worth $150. But if they do nice work then go for it.
4-2-1 gives a better flow than 4-1. 4-1 takes up less space and looks good in some turbo setups.
