How do I remove the bolts on a 1991 Mercury Cougar LS V8 5.0L power steering rack?
I am attempting, for the first time, to replace a leaking power-steering rack on my 1991 Ford Mercury Cougar LS V8 5.0L. I began removing the first major horizontal bolt on the drivers side of the power steering rack. I must have used a socket to turn this bolt about 500 times and it "STILL" doesnt appear to be coming out. Do I have to be holding something on the back so that this bolt can be removed?
the bolt has a nut on the other side you have to put a wrench on the nut and hold the wrench now when you turn the rachet the bolt will work its way through the nut and te nut will fall to the ground or stay in the wrench ok
