Switching a ford 302 efi engine to a carbuerator engine?mechanical fuel pump questions please look at details?
ive got a 302 out of 1990 lincoln efi motor.im switching it to a carb setup.if i put a mechanical fuel pump on it will it work.i know i will have to change timing covers but will the fuel pump have something to work the pump arm? please dont ask me why do i want to switch from efi to carb!
i took the motor out of a 1990 lincoln and putting in a 1979 ford f150
If I am not mistaken the Fuel pump on the 302 Carburated motors run off a lobe on the camshaft . In order to use a mechanical pump on 1990 lincoln 302 you need to make sure that it has this lobe on the Camshaft.
