2005Toyota Camry, while I was driving car suddenly stopped on the road b/of throttle. Who has Same problem?
My car is 2005 Toyota Camry. While I was driving my car, suddenly engine signs on, and my car stopped on the road. When I went to Toyota dealer, they said my car has throttle problem. When throttle censer has the problem, there are two problems. Even though you drive only 45 mph, throttle read full amount of air that means your car is suddenly speed up, or throttle read less amount of air, you car stop right there, it doesn't matter you was driving 60 mph. Anyway, I had to change throttle body. I just want to know somebody has same problems like me.
Throttle sensors wear like any other part.
Vehicles with a lot of highway miles tend to show a problem after a while.
With the throttle constantly moving back and forth within a limited range, that's where the wear occurs. Usually in the vicinity of 60 - 70 mph.
