Tips on losing those last few pounds?
Seven months ago, I was 286 lbs. Through jogging six miles every day, (Not an easy thing to do in Tucson in the summer) lifting weights for thirty minutes every other day, and cutting my caloric intake to 1200 calories per day, I have gotten down to 228 lbs. The problem is, I am looking to get into the air force reserve, and they require people of my height to be under 220 before they join. I have been stuck at 228 for three weeks now, and I am lost on how to lose those last eight pounds. I have thought about going without lifting weights for a while, but I am told that muscle helps to burn fat. Not to mention that the strength would help in BMT. I am not sure if it would be healthy to cut more calories or not, but I will try it as a last resort. Does anyone have any tips on how to go about this?
i heard it is very effective to keep break up a jogging session with periods of sprinting for a couple minutes at a time. also you should vary the exercises you do b/c your body might have gotten used to what you have been doing.
