I have a 97 chevy blazer with the 4.3 V6. I took out the stock muffler and straight piped it cat-back with a resonator tip, sounds pretty nice I must say. But then I decided it's just too noisy for my liking anymore, temps me to 'go faster' too, which sucks down gas faster,lol. So I want to put an aftermarket muffler in, but I want something that's quite, almost if not as quite as stock, but still high flowing so I get good performance as like the straight pipe right now. I'm thinking a long glass pack, such as a 22in. or around there, would do the trick. But then again there's the super turbo's and all, but they do have alot less flow than a straight pipe. Maybe a Cherry Bomb Vortex? But I've listened to um and I'm thinking there still too loud for my liking. Give me some good ideas! Thanks for the help;)
no glasspack, please no! unless you like the popping sound when you rev it up. THey give off a popping sound as they are winding down. You obviously like the loud a little bit, go for a flowmaster, they have the best tone, i've had them on just about every car i've owned, Had them on a 4 cylinder Trooper, i had it ona v6 chevy truck with 4.3, and Eagle talon 4 cylinder, and v8 truck, all sound great. They give out a low tone, nice while idle there is still the bumble bee sound at high rpm on 4 and 6 cylinder, but just cruisin sounds nice. I recommend the 2 chamber 40 series flowmaster, as its the original flow, I can't say anything about the others, as I only get the 40 series. It sounds good, you wont be dissapointed.
