I have an 89 N/A Toyota Supra, and a turbo parts car. all of the parts are already off of the parts car so I couldnt' see how it was set up before and I don't know too much about turboing a car.
the parts i have are
Exhaust Manifold, turbo, wastegate, intercooler, piping, and bov. also, the turbo motor is the same as the non turbo motor, so I should be able to take the oil pan off and swap pans right? since the turbo pan already has the oil lines on it.
Now, how do I run the piping and everything? I don't plan on running any more than stock boost. probably less if I can get a wastegate set to less
From what i understand the piping goes from the intake, to the intercooler. then from the other side of the intercooler to one side of the turbo. and the air filter goes on the other side of the turbo. correct?
putting a turbo on a non turbo designed engine may shorten the life of the engine as it was not designed to take the increased pressures, I think you are correct but to confirm take a look at one in a wrecking yard to see how done.
