on my srt4 i have the upper hard pipe. i have the little cheap crappy stainless steel hose clamps from autozone connecting it to my intercooler and my intake manifold on the other end. i was wondering if anybody knew where i can get some good hose clamps that will keep me from leaking boost. The first question to ask is whether the line is leaking after the clamps are properly torqued. If it does and the clamp has remained properly torqued, the problem likely is something other than the clamp.
You might want to check the pipe for flaws or cracks, and the connections for deformations or cracks.
Your local dealer (or auto supply store) should be able to make some alternate clamp recommendations applicable to your specific situation.
If you still want to pursue an alternate clamp, and the clamp you are describing is the typical worm drive (slotted screw) type clamp, then you could consider a high torque or heavy duty versions of the worm drive clamp, or the T-Bolt type of clamp used on things like truck exhausts. If your local auto supply store does not offer these products, check the O.D. (Outside Diameter) range of the clamp, this is linked to the clamp number (i.e., HS-28), then you can look for a corresponding O.D. range in the alternate clamps.
There are lots of online sources. A few who come to mind are the industrial supply houses like Grainger, and MSC.
