can I use a sho intake on a duratec?
I am wanting to know if you can use an intakes (upper& lower) from a 3.0 dohc sho taurus, on a 99 taruse se 3.0 24v dohc motor.
I am talking about the earlier sho v6 intakes, and transplanting them on a duratech 3.0, they are both dohc 24v v6, what i dont know is if the block and heads are the same casting.
You mean the intake manifold? Not a chance. The SHO is V8 the Duratec is a V6. You'd have an extra set of runners, just uh, sitting there.
Edit: Still won't work, the engines are quite different, they share the same displacement, and they are both DOHC configurations, but the SHO engine was built by Yamaha and has virtually no interchangeable parts with the Duratec.
